The wand has 4 interchangeable electrodes (mushroom, hook, spoon, and comb) made out of tempered glass filled with with Argon gas (violet light) or Neon gad (red/orange light)

When the electrode touches the skin it produces a small electrical current (causing a buzzing/zapping noise) and is filled with the gas of your choice. This forms ozone around the gas electrode.
