Laser Genesis
Laser Genesis is a cosmetic procedure that uses near-infrared (NIR) Nd:YAG laser to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin. Collagen is a protein in the skin that gives it elasticity and a firm texture. Collagen production slows down as we age, resulting in skin laxity or sagging skin and wrinkles. Laser Genesis gently heats the dermal layer of the skin to encourage collagen growth while smoothing imperfections on the skin's surface. This heat also constructs blood vessels to improve facial redness associated with rosacea and acne.
Your Laser Genesis Treatment
Laser Genesis is a painless non-invasive laser treatment that only takes about 30 minutes. First, you will be given protective eyewear to shield your eyes from the laser light and generated heat. As the laser is passed over your skin, you will feel a warming sensation that is often considered comfortable.
Results and Recovery
There is no downtime or recovery after Laser Genesis treatments. As collagen regrows and new, healthy skin cells resurface, you will see gradual improvements in the texture and tone of your skin. Laser Genesis results are often noticeable after 3-4 weeks. We recommend 4-6 treatment sessions for optimal results.
