What is Juvéderm?

We use Juvéderm for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. It is FDA-approved and involves the injection of hyaluronic acid fillers into the facial tissue to restore volume loss due to age. We also use Juvéderm to improve severe facial wrinkles as well as eliminate the appearance of deep facial folds.

Juvéderm consists of many different products tailored for different facial areas. Before the Juvéderm treatment procedure begins, we discuss your cosmetic concerns with you so we can know which product is best suited for your needs. It is worth noting that some Juvéderm dermal fillers are designed specially for lip augmentation, while others are to get rid of wrinkles.

What Happens During Juvéderm Treatment?

Although Juvéderm injections are not painful, we always apply a topical numbing skin before the treatment begins to help improve comfort. After that, we begin injecting the product into the treatment area we discussed with you during the consultation. Juvéderm treatments take just a few minutes to administer, and the entire appointment normally lasts less than an hour.

What is SkinVive by Juvéderm?

We use SkinVive by Juvéderm for non-surgical facial rejuvenation, specifically to enhance skin smoothness and hydration. It is FDA-approved and involves the injection of hyaluronic acid microdroplets into the dermal layer of the facial tissue, primarily targeting the cheeks. SkinVive is designed to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines, providing a radiant and smoother appearance. Unlike other Juvéderm products, SkinVive is not used for volume restoration or deep wrinkle correction but rather as a skin booster to improve overall skin quality.

What Happens During SkinVive Treatment?

During the SkinVive treatment, the product is injected using fine needles into the dermal layer of the skin. The procedure is minimally invasive and typically involves little to no downtime. SkinVive contains a small amount of lidocaine, which helps minimize discomfort during injection. The treatment is quick, usually lasting about 15 minutes, and results can be noticed within a month, lasting up to six months. Before the procedure, we discuss your cosmetic concerns to ensure that SkinVive is the right choice for your needs.

What is Restylane?

Restylane is another type of hyaluronic dermal filler we use to improve the appearance of wrinkles and facial folds as well as restore facial volume. Like Juvéderm, Restylane comprises a wide range of products that have different formulas to treat different facial areas. These Restylane products include:

• Restylane Kysse for the lips.
• Restylane Contour for cheeks.
• Restylane L for lips, tear troughs, nasolabial folds, and cheeks.
• Restylane Defyne for smile lines, cheeks, and lips.
• Restylane Refyne for smile lines.
• Restylane Lyft for the chin and cheeks.

What Happens During Restylane Treatment?

Before we start your Restylane treatment, we discuss your cosmetic goals with you so we can determine which product best suits your needs. Like the Juvéderm treatment, Restylane injections are not painful. However, we still use a topical numbing cream to ensure optimal comfort. Furthermore, Restylane treatment only takes a few minutes.

Another thing to note is that Restylane treatment is suitable for men and women who want to improve the appearance of deep facial wrinkles and restore facial volume. After Restylane treatment, we advise that you avoid sun exposure and strenuous exercises. The treatment takes around one and a half months to fully develop, but once it does, it will improve the quality of your skin for six to 18 months.
