From there, a handheld instrument that emits a laser light is used to target certain areas of the skin where noticeable imperfections are present. How long treatment takes can depend on the size of the treatment area and the number of areas treated. It usually takes about 30 minutes.

Recovery and Results

After your laser genesis session, you can usually drive home immediately and return to your normal activities throughout the day. Moisturizer and sunscreen may be applied to give the skin additional protection and minimize any irritation after treatment.

Most of the results are visible three to four weeks after treatment. Four to six treatment sessions are usually needed for optimal results. The results last 6-12 months. You can receive maintenance treatment to touch up your results.
